Most recently, she launched the company’s benchmark careers website as a key communication vehicle of the brand and is currently working to apply leading consumer marketing practices to United Health Group’s Employer Marketing and Talent Attraction strategy. “The impact of employer branding on employee engagement & corporate performance”

Peter Schmitt, Managing Director, tribalfish

connect with Peter

Peter will talk about the case for employee engagement, employer branding’s role in employee engagement and measuring the impact of engagement on the bottom line.

Passionate, curious, irreverent, entrepreneurial, challenger of paradigms. Peter is capable of holding a conversation with a CEO of a mining company about its share price, a production manager of an apparel producer about quality control, or debate with a corporate brand manager about cultural vs mindshare branding. An education and early career in engineering during the 90’s yuppie era aroused the desire in him to make money (he saw people around him making vast sums), irrespective of whether or not he would make a difference or feel fulfilled in what he did. So he charged into an early foray in marketing, then subsequently sales of enterprise business systems (which taught him a load about how businesses run). A chance to make even more money in the banking sector left him emotionally barren. He then found something that got his juices flowing. People & Purpose. Establishing graylink AME and then subsequently tribalfish has given him great insights into how brands are defined and how they connect with the psyche. Why businesses need a raison d’etre and authentic positioning with people who believe it if they are to achieve the status and success their stakeholders desire – and deliver on the promise that is the brand. Tribalfish (formerly graylink employer branding) is a market leader in employer branding having delivered to global clients such as British American Tobacco, FBME Bank, Nakheel and Hitachi Data Systems.
